About Ledgerwell
Guiding Malaysians Through Financial Decisions
A dedicated team of finance professionals committed to financial literacy education — where the focus is understanding, not selling.
Back to HomeOur Story
Founded on a Simple Observation
Ledgerwell began when a small group of Malaysian finance professionals noticed a pattern: many people were making significant financial decisions — taking loans, purchasing takaful plans, writing wills — without a clear understanding of what they were agreeing to. Advisors and banks had a role, but that role came with an inherent conflict of interest.
The idea behind Ledgerwell was straightforward: offer financial education that had no product attached to it. No commissions, no upselling, no agenda beyond helping participants understand the financial landscape they were navigating.
Based at 20 Jalan Dungun in Damansara Heights, the centre serves working adults, young professionals, and retirees from across the Klang Valley. Our three programmes — covering credit and debt, Islamic finance, and estate planning — were each shaped by the genuine questions and concerns we heard most often.
We are not a bank, a financial advisory firm, or an insurance company. We are educators, and that distinction matters to us.
Mission & Values
What Guides the Work We Do
Clarity Over Complexity
Financial concepts can be made accessible without losing accuracy. We work to explain things clearly — not to simplify them to the point of misleading.
Independence
We do not sell financial products and accept no referral fees. Our educators can speak freely about options, trade-offs, and considerations without a commercial motive.
Cultural Sensitivity
Malaysia's financial landscape reflects the country's diversity — in religion, law, and community. Our programmes acknowledge and address this honestly.

Quality Standards
How We Maintain Our Standards
Our commitment to quality is not a tagline — it shapes the way we design, deliver, and evaluate every programme we run.
Credentialled Educators
Every educator at Ledgerwell holds relevant professional qualifications — in financial planning, Islamic finance, or estate law — and brings direct industry experience.
Annual Curriculum Review
Our programme content is reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in Malaysian regulations, Bank Negara guidelines, and relevant legal frameworks.
Small Group Limits
We cap group sizes to ensure each participant receives meaningful attention. This is a deliberate choice, not a marketing claim.
Privacy and Discretion
Participant information is handled in accordance with PDPA Malaysia. We do not share personal data with third-party financial institutions or advertisers.
Post-Session Feedback
Each completed session is followed by a structured feedback process. We use participant responses to refine content, delivery, and materials continuously.
Transparent Pricing
Our programme fees are stated clearly and include all materials. There are no add-ons or follow-on products you will be encouraged to purchase.
Our Expertise
Financial Education Rooted in the Malaysian Context
The Malaysian financial system operates within a dual framework — conventional and Islamic — that is unlike most other markets in the world. Understanding how credit products, investment vehicles, and inheritance structures work in this environment requires knowledge that goes beyond generic financial literacy materials.
Ledgerwell's team brings direct working experience across both frameworks. Our credit and debt programme draws on familiarity with CCRIS, CTOS, and how major Malaysian banks structure loan products. Our Islamic finance programme covers the Shariah principles underpinning products offered by Malaysian institutions, including structures approved by the Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia.
Estate planning in Malaysia is particularly nuanced given the interaction between civil law under the Distribution Act 1958, Probate and Administration Act 1959, and Shariah inheritance law governing Muslim estates. Our workshop addresses both frameworks and helps participants understand which applies to their situation and how to prepare accordingly.
We work with a range of participants — from recent graduates taking on their first significant loans, to senior professionals organising their estates, to business owners exploring Shariah-compliant financing structures. The common thread is a desire to understand rather than simply transact.
